THE PRACTICAL DETAILS
Your information. Handled thoughtfully.
Anthology London Limited, trading as Take Back Friday, is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.
Who we are
Anthology London Limited (trading as Take Back Friday), registered in England and Wales, is the controller of your personal data. You can reach us through the contact page.
What we collect and why
- Name and email address — to send you the free guide, answer enquiries, add you to a waitlist and create your account. Legal basis: performance of a contract or our legitimate interest in responding to you.
- Account details and login credentials — to give you access to your resources and courses. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us. Legal basis: contract.
- Enquiry and support messages — to reply and keep a record of the conversation. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Enrolment and course progress — to give you access and show where you are up to. Legal basis: contract.
- Marketing preferences — only if you tick the optional consent box. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.
- Technical data such as IP address and device information — for security, fraud prevention and keeping the site working. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
- Service providers — website hosting, database and authentication, and email delivery, acting on our instructions.
- Our payment provider (Stripe) — for processing payments, invoicing and tax compliance. It is a separate controller for the payment data it collects.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where needed.
- Authorities — where we are required to by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision or by Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and guide-request records are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact. Account, enrolment and purchase records are kept while your account is open and for up to 7 years afterwards where needed for tax and accounting. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to processing, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and managed, reputable infrastructure providers.
Cookies and local storage
We use only essential cookies and browser storage: keeping you signed in and remembering your reduced-motion preference. Stripe sets cookies needed to complete checkout. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though sign-in will stop working.
